A test cycle of the VDA alternating test lasts 7 days and consists of:

  • 1 day salt spray test according to ISO 9227 NSS
  • 4 days alternating condensation water climate according to DIN EN ISO 6270-2 AHT
  • 1 cycle (day) consists of an 8-hour sample exposure at 40°C / 100% r.h. During this time, the samples are exposed to condensation. The samples are then exposed to a room climate for 16 hours.
