After last summer’s great success, Alain Stebler, CEO of Rapid Manufacturing, once again invited guests to Rümlang this year. Well over 100 guests took advantage of the event to find out about the innovative services in the field of 3D printing, exchange ideas with specialist colleagues and discuss new trends. RM’s Indian partner – Imaginarium – was also on site with a team.
While Alain Stebler and Simon Küchler provided independent information about the technical possibilities of the machine park, visitors were also able to find out about the products offered by numerous Rapid Manufacturing partners. Their range of products and services was once again presented at a very well-attended table-top exhibition. Also present this year: Suisse Technology Partners, supported by Mike Stamm (Probeam), who demonstrated, among other things, the benefits of computer tomography (CT) in the characterization of additively manufactured components. For example, the number, position and course of carbon fibers in polyamide can be made visible despite the small differences in density.
Suisse Technology Partners follows developments in additive manufacturing with great interest and is a member of a corresponding Swissmem working group (SMAG) with the aim of being able to offer our customers the support that corresponds to the current state of the art and the relevant quality requirements.
Many thanks to Alain Stebler and his team for allowing us to be there again this year and, of course, many thanks for the delicious food and the chilled drinks, which were particularly popular on this warm summer’s day.
