Kesternich test according to DIN 50018 KFW 2.0S

Assessment of the resistance of materials to condensing moisture containing sulfur dioxide. This corrosion test with sulfur dioxide under general moisture condensation was developed to simulate the damaging effects of acid rain.

8 hours (40±3)°C, at 100% relative humidity with condensation on the sample surface and with 0.66% V/V SO2 exposure. This is followed by 16 hours at room temperature. This 24-hour cycle corresponds to one test round.
